Competence and Conduct Standard
The people running housing services need the right skills.
From October 2026, registered providers must make sure senior housing staff hold, or are working towards, recognised qualifications, and that everyone delivering services follows a clear code of conduct.
Senior housing managers
Need a Level 4 housing qualification or equivalent.
Senior housing executives
Need a Level 5 qualification or foundation degree, or equivalent.
Everyone delivering services
Covered by a code of conduct and ongoing learning and development.
